Above: Sarah Wilson and nature collaborated to get this fabulous moon photo a couple of weeks ago.
This week we’ve stepped away (just temporarily) from our updates and regular format to allow for a different kind of experience.
Ethan McBrien presents a lovely reading of Mary Oliver’s poem “First Snow.”
And for a visual experience, we’ve put together a photo slide show of many of the images that have been posted on this website since we started in early April, a sort of year-in-review. We love the images of Nelson (or in some cases from Nelson and looking to distant landmarks). Photos are a constant feature of this website: look at this week’s amazing moon shot (above) from Sarah Wilson, and this picture (below) of Granite Lake in early-winter mode. Both of these photos are also included in the slide show.
You can also dig back into two regular monthly columns that are always rich with photos:
Our fundraising efforts on this website for the last two weeks, plus response from the Black Fly Quarterly appeal, has brought in $1,327, which is wonderful.
We’d love to get that number north of $1,500. If you haven’t contributed, but appreciate the regular communication / information / entertainment that Nelson In Common brings to you every week, please consider a year-end contribution now.
Or send a check to Nelson In Common 409 Old Stoddard Rd. Nelson, NH 03457
Support also comes in the form of participation: sharing stories, photos, or simply ideas. For that you can connect with us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
