Project Pantry Update

Nicki Demarest of Team Monadnock putting the last touches on our first Afghan Family’s kitchen the day before they arrived.

In the March 2 Nelson In Common update we ran an article about a fundraising campaign that the Nelson Congregational Church was doing to support the local Afghan Family Resettlement Project Pantry, which is providing basic needs, pantry items, and familiar food items to Afghan families who have come to the Monadnock Region to find a new home. With a $300 challenge grant from the Garrett-Larsen Social Justice Fund, within two weeks the Church was able to raise $1,800! Thank you to all!
