Monadnock Developmental Services is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in Keene, New Hampshire. We are the Region V Area Agency designated by the State of New Hampshire to assist individuals with disabilities to live in their communities.

Southwestern Community Services strives to empower low income people and families. With dignity and respect, SCS provides direct assistance, reduce stressors, and advocate for such persons and families as they lift themselves toward self-sufficiency.

Cheshire Village at Home offers older adults an affordable option for staying in their own homes when transportation and household chores become difficult.   CVAH is for those who wish to remain independent and socially connected to their communities.  Once you join us, one call sets you up with a ride, help at home, social visits, or wellness calls as often as you want. We also hold free social events such as coffees, ice cream socials, and presentations by local experts.

Monadnock Center for Violence Prevention, Inc.

We are a team of dedicated individuals working toward a violence-free Monadnock Region. In addition to offering crisis intervention services, we have a dedicated prevention education branch. Our direct services staff now includes full time advocates, a Family Violence Prevention Specialist, Shelter Advocate, and Housing First Advocate.

The Community Kitchen, Inc. (Keene) operates two programs – the Pantry Program distributes food weekly on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Clients are verified annually by their income and residence. The Hot Meals Program serves a free meal six days a week, an evening meal on weekdays and a lunch on Sundays.

Keene Human Services Department

It is the mission of the Human Service Department to provide quality assistance to the financially disadvantaged in the most economic manner possible, while instituting and maintaining policies, procedures and programs to aid such individuals to maintain dignity and to return to a state of self-sufficiency.

Community Volunteer Transportation Company (CVTC) was incorporated as a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization in 2008. CVTC was created as a grassroots effort to meet the growing unmet transportation needs in the region. They coordinate transportation options for people throughout the Monadnock Region.
